Websites have definitely become a huge marketing tool for a lot of companies, and in fact it’s becoming more of a disadvantage for small businesses of any type to not have websites as a critical part of their campaigns for advertising and simply networking with other businesses and with future clients. And I think the days of having websites that are simply self-promoting are slowly disappearing as providing engaging and useful content online starts becoming just as important for small businesses as simply advertising their businesses. Many are getting pretty short attention spans when it comes to reading endless copy about what a specific company can do for its clients. They want to see more action and a sample of something tangible.

As someone involved in the IT industry, I advise many developing IT marketing campaigns to really use their websites to the fullest extent. Websites are quite an inexpensive way to really put your face out there and get people that might be long-term clients or even business partners thinking about what you have to offer. But they also can be used to give these potential clients and partners great content and helpful information they can really use.

I have a really comprehensive set of resources for IT professionals in the form of the Computer Consulting Kit that is used world-wide and I think can really be helpful to those that use the Web as an integral part of their marketing devices and also their on-going business operations.

Thanks for the great article link!
